Born in Türkiye in 1945, Nezih Danyal has drawn cartoons and comics for over a hundred publications since 1960.

He has won numerous awards in national and international competitions and has held exhibitions in various cities both in Türkiye and abroad.

His "Global Anatolian Exhibition" has been exhibited in various European cities, including Berlin, Rotterdam, and Paris. His cartoons have been purchased by museums and private collections.

One of his six cartoon albums, "Dönem" (Period), won an award at an international cartoon competition held in Pescara, Italy.

He has prepared a guide book for beginners titled "Let's Draw Cartoons."

He has used his drawings in various art forms, from posters and theater sets to book covers and animated films.

He created characters reminiscent of Cemal Nadir for a television program commemorating Cemal Nadir.

He won an award in the "Opening Credits Film" category at the Third Balkan Film Festival.

The Ministry of Culture, METU (Middle East Technical University), BILAR (Ankara Cartoonists Association), Sanatevi (Art House), and the Cartoon Foundation have organized cartoon courses.

In 1980, he was awarded the "Contribution to National Culture" award by the Art Lovers Association.

In 1993, he proposed the opening of the "Ministry of Culture World Cartoon Gallery" and ensured the organization of international exhibitions for two years.

In 1994, he founded the "Cartoon Foundation." From 1995 onwards, he organized the "International Ankara Cartoon Festival" every year.

From 1991, for seven years, he prepared and presented the "Cartoon of the Week" segment on the "Gün Başlıyor" (The Day Begins) program broadcast on TRT1. Nezih Danyal served as the president of FECO (Federation of European Cartoonists Associations) Turkey.

Thanks to his connections with cartoonists in approximately 100 countries, he played a major role in the development of cartoons worldwide.

He passed away in 2025, but thanks to the concept of "a Nezih Danyal cartoon in every home," his thousands of works will live on forever, along with his art-loving collectors.
